ジブの裏帆（うらほ）とラダーを使（つか）って、バックしながら船首（せんしゅ）を進（すす）みたい方向（ほうこう）に向（む）けました。

Using the rudder and the jib with the wind behind it we backed up, turning the bow to the direction we wanted to go.
