As soon as he graduated, he went to work in his father's general store.

文法（ぶんぽう）屋（や）に聞（き）きたいんですが、「be+分詞（ぶんし）」はV Cなどのように考（かんが）えることはできないんですか？

I'd like to ask a grammarian, isn't it possible to think of 'be + participle' like you do V C and such?
