イエス

彼（かれ）は口（くち）が裂（さ）けても「イエス」とは言（い）わない。

The word yes never escapes his lips.

彼（かれ）はイエスといわないと思（おも）う。

I don't think he'll say yes.

聖書（せいしょ）とイエスが言（い）われた言葉（ことば）を信（しん）じた。

Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

ユダヤ人（ユダヤじん）の過越の祭（すぎこしのまつり）りが近（ちか）づき、イエスはエルサレムに上（うえ）がられた。

When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

また、イエス御（ご）自身（じしん）で、人（ひと）のうちにあるものを知（し）っておられたので、人（ひと）について誰（だれ）の証言（しょうげん）も必要（ひつよう）とされなかったからである。

He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

ナタナエルはイエスに言（い）った。「どうして私（わたし）をご存（ながら）じなのですか」

Nathanael asked Jesus, "How do you know me?"

その翌日（よくじつ）、イエスはガリラヤに行（い）こうとされた。

The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee.

そして、その日（ひ）彼（かれ）らはイエスと一緒（いっしょ）にいた。

And spent that day with Him.
