倹約

生活費（せいかつひ）は高（たか）い、だから私（わたし）たちは倹約（けんやく）しなければならない。

Living is dear, accordingly we have to economize.

収入（しゅうにゅう）が低（ひく）いと倹約（けんやく）せざるを得（え）なくなる。

A small income obliges us to thrift.

倹約（けんやく）なんて私（わたし）の性質（せいしつ）上（うえ）できないことだ。
