先輩

彼（かれ）は仕事（しごと）の上（うえ）では私（わたし）の先輩（せんぱい）だ。

He has more experience on the job than I.

我々（われわれ）は彼（かれ）をよき先輩（せんぱい）として尊敬（そんけい）している。

We look up to him as a good senior.
