長続き

彼（かれ）は何事（なにごと）にも長続（ながつづ）きしない。

He never sticks to anything very long.

長続（ながつづ）きしないってこともちゃんと分（わ）かってた。

But he knew it couldn't last.

私（わたし）の友人（ゆうじん）は１年（ねん）に３つも職（しょく）を変（か）えた。何事（なにごと）にも長続（ながつづ）きはしないのだ。

My friend has had three jobs in a year; he never sticks to anything for long.

現実（げんじつ）にもどって、仕事（しごと）のことを考（かんが）えるのでなければ事業（じぎょう）は長続（ながつづ）きしない。

A person won't remain long in business if he does not come down to earth and think business.
