内科医

内科医（ないかい）は普通（ふつう）外科医（げかい）と区別（くべつ）されている。

Physicians are usually distinguished from surgeons.

内科医（ないかい）である父（ちち）は医学（いがく）を勉強（べんきょう）するようしきりに勧（すす）めたが、ホーキングはそれを受け入（うけい）れず、その代（か）わりに数学（すうがく）と物理学（ぶつりがく）に専念（せんねん）することにした。
