目的語

英語（えいご）では動詞（どうし）が目的語（もくてきご）の前（まえ）に来（く）る。

In English the verb precedes the object.

動詞（どうし）には目的語（もくてきご）をとらない自動詞（じどうし）と、目的語（もくてきご）をとる他動詞（たどうし）があります。

With verbs there are intransitive verbs that don't take an object, and transitive verbs that do take an object.

日本語（にほんご）では、目的語（もくてきご）は主（おも）に「に」や「を」で示（しめ）される。

The object is that which in Japanese would generally be indicated with "ni" or "o".
