尊い

川（かわ）は美（うつく）しいからといって尊（とうと）いわけではない。

Just because a river is beautiful doesn't mean that it is precious.

生命（せいめい）の尊（たっと）さを考（かんが）えた事（こと）のない人（ひと）は医学（いがく）を志（こころざ）すべきではない。

Those who have never thought about the value of life should not study medicine.
