行き過ぎ

時間通（じかんどお）りに授業（じゅぎょう）に出（で）ることを君（きみ）に求（もと）めるのはいきすぎではない。

一つ一（ひとつひと）つ違（ちが）っていて、広々（ひろびろ）とした庭（にわ）があって魅力的（みりょくてき）な家並（いえな）が、もっぱら機能（きのう）だけを追求（ついきゅう）したマンションにとって代（か）わられるが、このマンションには、行き過（いきす）ぎを思（おも）えるほど賞賛（しょうさん）される「現代（げんだい）の便利（べんり）な設備（せつび）」以外（いがい）に褒（ほ）めるべき点（てん）はないのである。

Rows of houses, each of them different and pleasing with their spacious gardens, are replaced by purely functional blocks of flats which have nothing more to commend them than over-praised 'modern conveniences'.
