彼（かれ）は先生（せんせい）の言（い）うことを聴（き）かない。

He pays no attention to the teacher.

彼（かれ）は何（なん）でも言（い）うことを聞（き）くイエスマンも同然（どうぜん）だった。

He was no better than a yes-man.
