目を引く

日本（にほん）の学校（がっこう）では、私（わたし）がアメリカで勉強（べんきょう）していたのとほぼ同（おな）じ科目（かもく）を教（おし）えていますが、私（わたし）にとって、５つの違（ちが）いが目（め）を引（ひ）きました。

While the Japanese school teaches almost the same subjects that I study in America, five differences stood out for me.

明（あか）るい色（いろ）が私（わたし）たちの目（め）を引（ひ）いた。

The bright colors arrested our eyes.

彼女（かのじょ）は僕（ぼく）の目（め）を引（ひ）いた。

She caught my eye.

彼女（かのじょ）のドレスはパーティーに来（き）ていた皆（みな）の目（め）を引（ひ）きつけた。

Her dress attracted everyone's eyes at the party.
