Experience 〜たことがある

Meaning

"Have (ever) done ~" — expresses past experience. Built from the ta-form + ことがある ("there is the fact of having...").

Formation

Notes

Negative: 〜たことがない (have never ~). Use to talk about life experiences (places visited, foods eaten). Do NOT confuse with 〜ている (ongoing) or 〜た (one-time past).
