旅行の計画

夏休（なつやす）みに北海道（ほっかいどう）へ行（い）こうと思（おも）っているんだ。

Me: I'm thinking of going to Hokkaido in the summer holidays.

いいね。飛行機（ひこうき）で行（い）くの？

Friend: Nice. Are you flying?

ううん、飛行機（ひこうき）は高（たか）いから、電車（でんしゃ）で行（い）くつもり。時間（じかん）はかかるけど、景色（けしき）がきれいだと聞（き）いたよ。

Me: No, flights are expensive, so I intend to go by train. It takes time, but I hear the scenery is beautiful.

どのくらい行（い）くの？

Friend: How long are you going for?

一週間（いっしゅうかん）ぐらい。友達（ともだち）の家（いえ）に泊（と）まれることになったから、ホテル代（ホテルだい）はかからないんだ。

Me: About a week. It's been arranged that I can stay at a friend's house, so there's no hotel to pay for.

うらやましいな。おみやげ、お願（ねが）いね。

Friend: I'm jealous. Bring me back a souvenir.

うん、買（か）ってくるよ。

Me: Sure, I'll buy you one.
