Left as it is 〜っぱなし

Meaning

"Left ~ing", "~ and left that way" — something was done and never undone.

Formation

Notes

Usually a complaint about carelessness: 電気をつけっぱなしにする ("leave the light on"). It can also mean an unbroken run: 立ちっぱなし ("standing the whole time"). Close to 〜たまま, but っぱなし blames the neglect.
