Meaning
"As if ~", "with the intention of ~", "on the assumption that ~".
Formation
[plain form] + つもりで · [noun] の + つもりで

Different from 〜つもりだ ("intend to"): つもりで frames HOW you do the next thing — 死んだつもりで頑張る ("give it everything as though your life depended on it"). 〜たつもりで means acting as if something were so when it is not.
