Grammar
N4 honorific

Respectful お〜になる

Meaning

The general respectful (尊敬語) pattern — raises the person you are talking ABOUT or TO.

Formation

Notes

Never use it about yourself — that is what お〜する is for. Verbs with their own honorific word use that instead: 行く/来る/いる → いらっしゃる, 食べる → 召し上がる, 見る → ご覧になる. Native-Japanese verbs take お, Sino-Japanese する-nouns take ご: お読みになる but ご利用になる.
