Meaning

"Let alone ~", "not only not ~ but not even ..." — the easier case fails too.

Formation

[noun] + はおろか（〜も / 〜さえ / 〜すら follows）

Notes

The second item must be the easier or smaller one, so the sentence reads as an escalation downwards. The main clause is nearly always negative.
