Grammar
N3 connective

Because (excuse) 〜ものだから

Meaning

Offers a reason as an excuse or apology — "it's just that ~", "because ~, you see".

Formation

Notes

Always explains something the speaker feels needs excusing, so it does not fit a neutral statement of cause — use から or ので for that. もので is the softer, politer variant; もんだから is the casual one. It cannot be followed by a command or invitation.
