"Ever since ~" — a turning point after which things have stayed changed.

[verb て form] + からというもの
Notes
The change must still be in force and the speaker must feel it; that emotional weight is what separates it from the flat, factual 〜て以来. It never takes a one-off event with no lasting effect.
