Notes
Only a handful of nouns and stems occur naturally: 散歩がてら, 見物がてら, 買い物がてら. The primary purpose comes first and the secondary one follows.

散歩（さんぽ）がてら、郵便局（ゆうびんきょく）に寄（よ）りました。
