Suited for 〜向き / 〜向け

Meaning

向き = "suited to ~ (by nature)". 向け = "made for ~ (on purpose)".

Formation

Notes

The difference is intent: 子供向きの本 happens to suit children, 子供向けの本 was written for them. 向き also keeps its literal sense of facing — 南向きの部屋 ("a south-facing room").
